LEGACY GIFT
We are touched and grateful that Christ Church has been remembered in the will of Dr John Richard Seymour Homan CBE (1946, Classics) who died in October 2023 at the remarkable age of 98.

Dr John Richard Seymour Homan CBE read Classics at Christ Church from 1946. His CBE was for services to government and industry as Industrial Director of the National Economic Development Office.
Dr Homan was a keen rower during his time at the House and part of the team who were Head of the River in 1948. He was a lifelong member of Christ Church Boat Club, as well as a member of the 1546 Society which recognises the generosity of those who leave a legacy to the House.
In agreement with Dr Homan’s daughters, his legacy gift of £5,000 will go towards the Area of Greatest Need fund which provides support for students and for projects identified by the JCR and GCR.
